The last time I saw your face,
Was your picture in a frame.
And I cant remember how it sounds
to hear you say my name.
You were smiling,
holding her,
and she was holding you,
and i imagine that in that moment,
nothing could have kept you from being there on the day that she died.
But moments only last for moments.
And that moment passed you by.
I've still got the picture, safely in this frame,
but no frame is big enough to capture her pain.
Only two people really know the last words she spoke about you,
You can deny them all you want,
I wont ever tell the truth.
Despite all the things you ruined,
this picture still remains,
and I'll die here trying to remember
how it sounds to hear you say my name.
