Embarrassment

The heat ascends
Flames growing larger
As they eat it all away.
A rosy tint envelopes
Everything. Eyes, unblinking,
Will not look away, but instead
Bore inside, searching
Fumbling, shuffling, shifting,
Looking for an escape from
The fires of judgment, from
The watchful eyes of the observer.
And the heat grows ever stronger.

I second the agreement! Obviously amazing. Strong yet not over powering with its words.

I loved the metaphor, and you delivered it in a way that it didn't sound cliche. There was definitely strong emotion behind the words.Great job! I hope to hear more from you!
