Here I sit my mind is in another world.
All around me people are talking.
Are they talking to me?
Or have they finally given up?
All the noise begins to fade.
This is when the dream begins.
Both night and day it consumes me.
This dream is what some would call my perfect, I would call it my nightmare.
It never ceases to surprise me, always appearing when I least expect.
Everytime I try to brace myself for the world I shall never want.
I barely notice it's time to go.
I walk the halls in a daze.
To others I must seem higher then a kite, but the dont know the truth.
I'm only going insane.
That's when I hear you voice.
It's loud and clear as it breaks through the barrier of fantasy and reality.
It all goes back to normal, no more nightmare, only living in reality with you.
And then the fight.
And this devious cycle begins again.
As I slip farther and farther into the nightmare, you begin to leave me.
People watching on the outside assume I don't notice.
the looks they throw my direction.
The words I read on every stall.
I don't blame them for thinking of me as the freak.
I don't blame you for leaving.
Because eventually you'll come back.
To make me see what I'm doing.
Both to myself and you.
You'll show me the way again and again until...
The day I'm yours again.
