Sound
What beauty a single sound can hold,
though simplicity it does not possess.
Complexity alone creates its mold,
an entanglement most unaddressed.
Who comprehends the pound of a key,
its vibrations resonating in the air?
Who understands the string’s beautiful plea,
a tuned note played without care?
Why does the piano sound as it does?
How does a violin sing?
Unanswered, these questions are like so because
confusion their replies would bring.
Sound cannot be described or learned;
music is impossible to view—
it is something that must be felt and yearned,
an element understood by You.
