The pitch black birds
Kaw as I walk past
Staring with their lifeless
Unblinking eyes
Ruffling their feathers
Readying for attack
How will I survive?
How much longer will I be alive?
I must strive.
The black birds follow me at a very fast rate
Their numbers multiplying
Five
Ten
Twenty
Staring
Simply staring
Staring and waiting
Waiting for just the right time
The right time to swoop down and surround me
Enable me
Trap me
How will I survive?
How much longer will I be alive?
I must strive.
