Gluttony
A man walks down the street.
He sees a homeless man,
starving and sick.
He doesn’t stop,
he keeps on going.
Gluttony is his name.
Too much is his gain.
He doesn’t think of others when he stuffs his face.
While he eats lunch he also thinks of supper.
All he does is consume.
Too much wine.
Too much meat.
Too much of anything.
He has no job,
and he has no wife.
Food and wine are his only companions.
He’ll sit there all day,
wanting,
begging for more.
He thinks that when he dies he’ll go to heaven.
What he doesn’t know,
is that hell is just around the corner.
He has a heart attack a day later.
He’s finally gone to hell.
Force fed toads and snakes.
