Greed
Some people do anything for money.
They sell their children,
they kill higher ups.
Greed is a sin.
You see a man in his office,
trying more than anything to work his way up.
Nothing stands in his way,
and he’ll get what he wants.
What does he want?
Power.
Money.
Does he know his want for power is killing his family?
He spends his time at the office,
he calls his wife at the last second.
He tells her he won’t make it for supper.
He hangs up,
and gets back to work.
His wife hangs up too,
but she cries.
He never sees his children.
All he does is work.
A few months later that work pays off.
He’s head man at the company.
He finally made it, but his need for power fails to end.
His family leaves him, while he’s at work,
yet does he notice?
He’s at work, or he should say home.
He doesn’t know he tore his family apart.
He’s gone to hell. Punished for his greed.
Boiled in the finest oil money could buy.
Boiled forever.
