She stared at me and screamed
Looked into my eyes and died there
Trapped in my eyes forever
It’s like sleeping on the dark side of the sun

She broke her stare for a single split second
In a blink she was gone
And again I lost her to the night

I awoke from it all, hot and sticky
I might have cried but I can’t recall
