The 14-year old nerd was watching kids play street ball outside his window,
Wishing he could be good at anything outside of school,
Wishing he could be cool.

His body started to tingle,
His skin turning dark,
His body growing rapidly,
A textbook in his hands slowly melts into a leather Spalding.

His cackey’s shrink into shorts,
The scuffed up moon boots shorten into J’s,
And the mismatched socks become high Nike’s.

His button-up shirt loosens and the pens in his chest pocket form the design of his Brandon Jennings jersey,
His combed hair grows outward and curls into an afro as it turns black,
His once skinny limp body was now covered in muscle.

This is so vivid! I love the personal touches - it seems so real. Good job!

I love the vivid description that you give to readers! In a few lines about an average nerd, you describe how he changes. There's a whole story going on. Maybe you could write a full story about it? May you please read my poem,"Learn," and comment on it?
