"Where to, Miss?"
"To the stars."

There's darkness all around me
You'd think that I'd be scared
But I can feel the night caress me
Protecting me from the world

I can hear the screams of people
Far across the shadowed park
But I am separate
Different, able
A hunter in the dark

I can see the tiny leaves
Shaking in the wind
And if I listen
I can hear you
Walking past again

Invisible to human eye
Silent as the wolf
I pad around the hidden paths
And see the whole wide world

So doubt me if you think you'd like to
I can see your point of view
Just remember
Mortal one
I can see the whole of you

The author's comments:
I was at the annual capture-the-flag party, which was at night. I stopped playing the game pretty quickly, but I loved how I could go anywhere and not be seen.

Very, very nice! The rhythm is very consistent, and makes the flow when reading very light! Excellent!
