if i were to fall

if I were to fall
who would catch me
how can I be left to find
what happens to those
who are stuck
falling and falling
with no lines or soft landing
or maybe no landing
at all
will I be held up
to breathe for a bit
and dropped again
without warning or regret
should I even risk the thought
of falling
if I never jump
I will never have to be caught
but If I can never be caught
what happens to me
or to the one who was supposed
to catch
even if they forgot
but came back
to save me from
my fall
it would be alright
because I know im
done falling
