Life's not about waiting for the storm to pass; it's about learning to dance in the rain.

Cold blue ice
Settles over the harvest moon
Leaves rustle
A million different shades
Bronze and gold and blood scarlet
Black and green and yellow as the sun
Shining cold in the sky
Wind carrying scattered leaves
By my window
Autumn is here
Rain strokes my window like
The tears of the grey clouds
Hanging suspended in the sky
The melody
Of the wind is in my head
And the stars poke out of the sky
Velvet black smeared with blue paint
From the fingertips of my dreams
Like autumn leaves
To the deep black winding path
Spinning out like a gypsy’s ribbon
The spider spins her web
Glistening in the darkness of the light
Across and through and down and up on
Orange and yellow and gold time ticks by
Like autumn leaves

I have always loved the seasons--they are my inspiration for most everything I write! To me the autumn is such a magical time of year, and it is filled to the brim with colors and light to be written about.
