Torn apart with doubt
Unsure of myself
Contradicted throughout
Try to be nice
Try to be kind
Am I too nice, where do I cross that line?
Try to make everyone happy
Never works out
But no, I won’t pout
Some people like me
Others, they don’t
Do I really care?
Do I say “life’s not fair!”?
Never a word, will escape from my lips
Cursing other people, or judging there slips
I know I’m not perfect, but I am who I am
I do the best, the most that I can
and, in the end
I try to defend
my morals, my values, all that I hold dear
and I go trudging through life, my thoughts are now clear
so, I move on, without any fear
