Fire, Sunrise
Quick glints of light emit from your eyes.
The spark of recognition – remembering this feeling.
Only dull fireflies compared to the glowing pulse of your genuine words.
Lights spring from your fingers as they work into my memory.
Corrosion puts defensive boundaries ablaze,
Leaving the etch contents of my mind willingly exposed in the warm glow.
Embers burn my arms causing my lips to part in a smile.
Thoughts explode as the mind falters for sleep,
Dripping golden ideas into the ground.
My dreams are flourishing outside my mind in
Thriving oranges,
Fading yellows,
Blackening reds.
Sunrise.
