Left behind
to starve on its own
abandoned
alone
scared.
Barely surviving
hardly breathing
incomplete
yearning for its missing piece
but it’s gone
this piece can’t be found
suffocating
it struggles
scraps for survival
the piece;
guilt
torn
resentful
lacking
but only in desire
to complete that
which strikes it
with such guilt
