Red eyed ravens call out.
Hooded shadows dance about.
Flashing quick before my eyes;
I look around for a sunrise.

My chest contracts and blows back out.
My heart beats fast and full of doubt.
Hostile winds slaps my face.
I'm not in a familiar place.

Footsteps follow my racing feet
as I'm chased down the street.
Voices come from all around.
I try not to make a sound.

But everything just melts away.
My mind again begins to stray
My eyes are still shut tight.
It's just another sleepless night
