A friend that’s different from most,
She’s one I’ll always remember.
I would visit her every day,
Through scorching summer heat,
through the crisp cold of winter snow.

She taught me how to push myself,
With a voice as soothing as the
Whispering wind.
She was as beautiful as the scenery.
It seemed that flowers bloomed every where she went.

A breath of fresh air,
She was someone I could lean on, hold on to.
Although some days she picked me up,
And others she brought me down,
I could always find her in the same place.

Everything is different now,
Things change, just as seasons do.
She’s grown old, rusty, her color fades,
But the same, containing forgotten childhood memories.
A friend in my heart forever she’ll be.
