My little world
Grass – silent
Smooth as glass
Cold
Long- perfect for a ladybug to crawl up
Flat, rough – Catches as my finger prints
Tree.
Rough, bumpy
Full of leaves that whisper silently to each other, gossiping about the ground below
Shady, cold
Oh so cold.
Warmth!
Cement.
Smooth yet rough
Flat, cracked, comfortable
Sun
Oh so bright- blindingly beautiful
I want to touch it, to hold its delicate light in my hands
A flash of color
Yellow, White, Red, Blue, Green
Wind
Swoosh . . .
It whispers goodbye to summer
Bringing a chilly breeze
A friendly introduction later to be betrayed
Pencils flow across paper
Calm, tranquil
Loud voices, a disturbance in the silence
Laughter
The noise fades to a dull hum
Silence.
Peaceful again.
Harmony once more.
