I made a voodoo doll today
and named it Walex
sort of after you
so I can laugh when I pretend to hurt you back
and
in my mind
give you a tiny taste
a little long-owed
return-the-favor
pain
to try to
begin to
equal out the scale
I feel like I owe you something
after all the pain you've left for me
but it will never be truly satisfying
because while you hurt me for real
the best I can do
is a little hand-sewn doll
that you don't even know exists
and I know as well
that I couldn't ever hurt you back
for real
