do I want to forget
in truth
I want to clutch tight to my memories
they're all that I have left of you
but they are killing me
and even though I'd love for that to stop
the thought of loosing them
the last shreds of happiness
would leave me with nothing
and you would have won again
either way you win
I should write them down
these happy, painful memories
but then I will never be able to forget
I will never be free
numb, perhaps

can I keep my memories
