God's Canvas
If you stand by me
As the light fades at dusk,
I’ll show you the sun as it becomes watercolor across the sky.
A canvas, never painted the same way.
When darkness pours out like black paint,
I’ll hold your hand and
Our hearts will beat together.
Caught up in the beauty of constant change,
We’ll examine the new splattered speckles of twinkling glitter.
The specks light up the landscape as
The artist-of-it-all
Paints a line between your heart and mine.
