Economy
when I woke up
on Christmas morning
and walked out to our withering tree
I saw not one present or gift for me
I asked my mommy
how could it be
how could santa forget
me
she said to me
he didn’t forget you
but is captured
by who I cried
she answered with
Economy
worst villan ever
she told me
and I thought
has he no heart
or soul or care for the world
so cruel
keeping my Santa from me
away in lands of taxes and fines
and fees and lines
never-ending bills to pay
not enough paychecks
to keep my santa
home with me.
