Joan: A Woman in the Zone
As a short sweet lady,
Joan never acts shady.
She is always outspoken and happy,
And I love how her skin is so flappy.
As she laughs, she loses her breath,
And believe me, she’s a great chef.
At seventy four years old, she still manages to take care
Of her whole family and even her hair.
Joan participates in the Senior Olympics.
What can I say? This old woman has many tricks!
As a grandmother of seventeen and a mother of six,
She tries to remain out of all the conflicts.
Her house is always full of guests.
Sometimes they are happy; sometimes they are stressed.
After Hurricane Katrina, we moved into her house.
She always scurried around cleaning like a little mouse.
She constantly tried to keep the house tidy,
As a woman so old, she sure was determined and mighty.
She is so sweet and so strong;
I wish I could have lived with her for forever long.
She remains active in my life,
And to my grandfather, she is the best wife.
She tends to all of his needs.
In life, Joan always succeeds.
Overall, words truly cannot describe
How Joan is the best grandmother alive.
She will always be a hero to me,
Even if we may disagree.
I will always love my Maw- Maw Joan;
She is a woman in the zone!
