System of Stars Held Together by Gravity and Isolated From Similar Systems by Vast Regions of Space
I am a Galaxy
White light reaches you
I may look young
but I am old
The time lapse
Stills in space
I am a Galaxy
a swirling unknown entity
of stars and rock
fire and metal
always changing
never fully understood
I am a Galaxy
made of billions
trillions of stars
planets circle
comets sore
and each little piece
is a part of me
I am a Galaxy
large, complex
as one, so hard to understand
but if you learn each speck of dust
that’s what makes the whole
