Swing
I felt the brown leaves crunch under my toes.
The crisp fall air gave a hint of winter smells.
My eyes looked up at the wise tree tops hovering,
Protecting the forest floor and creatures.
My childhood swing mingled with the plants,
Plants that engulf the swing, wrapping, hugging
Peace and serenity was in my heart.
My surroundings bring any heart to tranquil.
Squirrels playfully rumble on the swing’s branch.
The swing brings happiness to my heart,
And to the creatures and plant of the forest.
