Alone I Stand.

Alone I stand.
Alone I'll stay.
Sooner or later it will be okay.
I wish I didn't care.
I wish I didn't feel.
A heart filled with numbness that'd be surreal!
No more tears would fall or hopes be raised.
To walk around emotionless would be really great.
My heart to not pound in a steady timely manner.
For it to slow down or freeze instead of having it fall on the floor and feeling it shatter.
Bury my heart and put it to rest.
Only then and there will it be its best.
