Frozen Man This work has been published in the Teen Ink monthly print magazine.

He shares your face
but only in a frozen state.

He is stilled in one spot
with no feet to help him move.

Making the journey you traveled
all but impossible.

And the hands he has now
do not compare to yours.

Warming out the chill
that always overtook mine.

We decorate him
with the scarf you once owned.

Fitting around his icy neck
like it once did yours.

He shares your face
but only in a frozen state.

This frigid man
could never replace you.

One we've made every winter
since the year you passed on.
