Love, Dad

Dear Erin,
The things I did were wrong I know,
But I do love you a lot I just don't know how to show,
How your mom was wrong and she wanted you to hate,
So i bought you clothes and toys as a sort of bait,
So you'd want to be with me more than her,
But I thought you were using me and I said it in a blur
Those things I didn't mean.
Now you're gone and I left without being seen.
I lie to you're aunt so you think that I care,
But this Love in quotes is oh so bare
And it's all because you don't call or write,
Even though its me who didn't give you my number, it's because I didn't want to fight
with you.
'Cause it's all about me,
Not your brother or sister or mom at any time of day.
Just me, and those drugs that took your dad away.
