it isnt exactly painful
but it rips the happy
out of my system
the fragments of it falling
at my feet

i cannot think straight
a thin film of plastic
seperates me from reality
and eveyone around me

something is repeatedly
battering away at my skull
my eyebrows are shot up
leaving permanent creases
on my forehead

art does not come to me
my imagination has been
struck down
i am alone in my bubble
of hell

it isnt exactly painful
but id rather live with
less of it so i can
breathe fresh air

i remember the wind
whipping around me
i felt alive!
stress takes even that
away

but without it...

i wouldnt get good grades

things wouldnt get done

so in the end
no matter how
bothersome
i turn back to stress

i stand and look
it straight in the
eyes and thank it...
for it is my friend....
