"All you have to do is write one true sentence. Write the truest sentence you know." -Ernest Hemingway

Music is a feeling
It’s not just a few chords
My fingers run across the keys
Like dancers with grace and life
Loud, then soft, then full of momentum
My piano is my partner
And the dance has just begun
The lilt of the notes
Make my fingers move
The song gradually softens
And creates an eerie mood
My wrists sway with excitement
And my foot skims the pedal
The crescendo begins
And the piano shouts, “Play faster!”
It seems as if I can fly
I speed up
Pale skin and black and white keys
Mix together
The rush is so exhilarating
But then the keys slow down
And the piano ceases to make music
The dance is over
At least for today.

I love to make music on the piano. It's a way for me to relax and just feel.
