That was the thing. You just never knew. Forever was so many different things. It was always changing, it was what everything was really all about. It was twenty minutes, or a hundred years, or just this instant, or any instant I wished would last and last. But there was one truth about forever that really mattered, and that was this: it was happening.

Time Flies when you're having fun.
It flies when you're with the ones you love and before you know it
time is gone.

Time flew by at a frightening speed when we
took for granted the care free days
of our childhoods.

Time flies when suddenly it's 2 AM and
you've still got a paper to write.

Time flies on those Friday nights
when everything is so grand but suddenly
it's Monday morning all over again.

Time flies in the summer
and walks autumn through spring.

Time flies when before you know it,
you've been watching I Love the New Millenium
for 3 hours straight.

And don't you just hate when time flies
when you're with that special one?
'Cause all you want is to stay until the earth stops revolving that sun and we all
fall off the earth and the unverse goes back
to the way it begun.

Time flies and we can't catch up,
so we learn to be down for whatever times allows so we can
live with no regrets and never forget
the ones who made time fly.

The author's comments:
I wrote this because it's my senior year of high school, and time is just going by so fast; I really can't believe that I'm all done with college applications, and that in a few months I'll be graduating. I just like to remind myself to not take advantage of whatever the rest of senior year will bring me, especially the amazing friends that have stuck with me throughout my life. :)
