Now like a star*

Today is a dark day
my light has gone away
and now my once bright world
seems dark and lonely
how would you feel if the sun left your presence
but it was still in view
so close, yet so far
now like a star
who's light is barely seen
and warmth never felt
so now i'm sitting alone
and the shackles are back on
(I'll gaze at the stars my dear
wishing you were near
me again....)
