The Devil Did It Again
December 5, 2010
it lies spewed on the floor
then it awakens,
body shuddering
and twitching
that rat,
so smelly, so sly
that beast attacks
with his sharply polished claws
they caress the delicate flesh
a small stream of red
bubbles from the ravaged skin
forms puddles on the hollows of a face
the rat stands victorious
he peers into those empty orbs,
once so full of protest
that devil has done it again.
