Staying Afloat

I can look out. They can look in.
I swim. They walk.
They feed me flakes and sometimes forget
because they cant always commit.
My life is so dull
staying afloat in this this tank.
My mind is often very blank.
There are many things I see
that makes others want to flee.
I can't kill a mouse.
I can't play fetch.
But if i were to roll over, then off i go to the Plummer.
