Water, water, drop by drop.

Animals, Trees, People
All moving, all growing, all learning
Endlessly giving, constantly taking
Making us beautiful, making us wrinkly
All at the same time

Drop by drop.

Winding, flowing, like a road
Although it can sit and wait
For renewal and rejoice
Or for death and sorrow
All a circle, winding, round and round

Drop by drop.

Smooth as silk, so happy, so fulfilling
Yet so unsmooth; with one blow of wind,
One movement of the Earth,
The peace can be destroyed.
And beings can reappear or disappear.

Drop by dreary, happy, clenching, sunny drop.

This was actually an english assignment; we had to take an inanimate object, such as love, and describe it using a tactile one. A metaphor poem. But, we weren't allowed to use the inanimate object's name in the poem. Can you guess what it is? Hint: You are it.
