It’s so cold tonight.
Looking out the window,
Lights, streets, cars, the invisible wind,
They glitter and pass, glitter and pass, a cycle
Never ending.
And I,
I am part of it all, all this that circles itself round
And round through my vision.
I am part of it all, and nothing more.
An opened door lets in the bitter cold;
Since when did this heart feel such abandonment?
I am part of it all, and nothing more,
But how I long and yearn so hard to be
Part of something bigger
To somebody.

I was inspired in part by a movie I watched. The main meaning behind this poem is how void life is without love in it...how sometimes, being meaningful to just one person can make you respect yourself and make life feel worth living.

This was very good, it summed up life within a poem. Good job :)

 the world you may be someone, but to someone you may be the world. That quote sums up the poem for me. I truly enjoyed it. Good work.
