I sit on my lonely rock
I gaze into the river
Hope that one day she takes me home
Carries me to the ocean
Where I can be in peace
With the waves soft rumble
Drifting free with the tides
Like a jellyfish
In and out as I please
A tame wind from the east
Ripples on the calm ocean surface
Like a gentle giants blow
Take me home
Home to the ocean

The author's comments:
I have always loved the ocean and i grew up on the water. I participate in skimboarding and enjoy surfing. The ocean inspired me to write this poem.
