There are many things
Our eyes can't see
So we try to see beyond
What meets the eye
And I've come to realize
Things aren't what they seem
Or at least that's what you've taught me
I thought you were good for me
But I was wrong
Because I was better
Before you came along
And hurt me in ways you can't see
So next time
I find something new
I will try to see beyond what is in front of me
Because behind every hero
Is an enemy
And no I know this now
Because of what you taught me
