Half Sisters Forever
I must be strong, I will not break, I am a rock.
That’s what you taught me; but even rocks crack!
They erode and weather through the tough seas.
Yet, I still can’t cry over you.
Your leaving, never mended the past,
secured your future, or helped the present.
It only hurt like a dagger to the heart.
Years later your empty bed still remains, silent next to mine.
But the room still feels heavy with your presence,
loud like a stampede, and uncertain.
Half of me is only part of you, but all of me still loves you.
I hope we still remain half sisters forever
