The best part was I got to hold her
As if she was mine.
I had to let go.
As if
I could imagine for a second
If only in my head, I could claim her
If only in my mind, she was mine to keep
Was it an illusion or a dream?
Or was it everything I have wanted?
Was it everything I dream of?
Lord, what would I not give for her?
Lord, I don’t know.
Am I lusting? Am I being greedy?
She is worth more than gold, silver, and gems
If wisdom were not so important to do right by her
I would give it, freely
Am I setting her above You?
Am I making her a goddess in my life?
Guide me, for I have no wisdom
Lord I need your wisdom
I am nothing, I can do nothing without You
I long to hold her
I long to keep her
To protect her
To
Make
Her
Mine
