Leaves Falling, Falling Everywhere

Leaves Falling, Falling Everywhere
Orange, yellow, and scarlet leaves everywhere
Way high up in the sky, leaves dance from exposed trees
To the ground on which I walk
Leaves

Falling,

Falling everywhere
Leaves crumple beneath my feet,
Crunching like taking a bite out of a crisp apple
I walk to the bus stop huddled by cold air
Fog hanging over the grass like a blanket
Leaves

Falling,

Falling everywhere
After a long hard day
My warm house now cradles a chilled body
Smell of pumpkin pie washes over me
My nose is filled with the delightful smell as my stomach growls
Leaves

Falling,

Falling everywhere
Rows of bright orange pumpkins begging to be picked
The smell of sweet cinnamon doughnuts fills the air
I wash all doubts and worries away as I drink the last sip of apple cider
Leaves

Falling,

Falling everywhere
On Halloween night, running from doorstep to doorstep
Listening to the joyful screaming and shouting from the running kids
Each door I go to there is a different pumpkin face smiling back at me
Leaves

Falling,

Falling everywhere
Now all the leaves are gone
The trees bare, that’s all I see as I walk through the cold night air
I take in my last breath of fall and brace myself for a cold, long winter
Snow

Falling,

Falling everywhere
