Doesn't Seem Right

It doesn’t seem right,
You try so hard to impress
The ones who are just like the rest
Not truly knowing what is best.

It doesn’t seem right,
You try to make it go away
And yet somehow it decides to stay
Your previous thoughts begin to decay.

It doesn’t seem right,
You walk blindly into twilight
Your inner self, beginning to bite
For it’s own life, it will fight.

It doesn’t seem right,
For love, often people disagree
Blind to what they should see
But, how could they know the real me?

It doesn’t seem right,
They look at you, but don’t see you
Your ordered around, told what they want you to do
You feel their pressure, but can’t break through.

It just doesn’t seem right,
No one can forgive the sin
It repeats, again it will begin
So next time, don’t let them in.

‘Cause it just isn’t right.
