"Dream as if you'll live forever, live as if you'll die today."

I understand how it happened
I just don’t understand why
all these events mixed, twined, and tangled together
The lows reaching the deepest of the ocean
and the highs grazing the sun
I understand how it happened
I just don’t understand why

I wish to not jinx the events that transpired that made my cheeks squeeze my eyes
and expose my pale teeth
No harm in describing how it made me feel
important, wanted, and worth it
it made my phobia of the mirror vanish with a blink
suddenly the creature in that mirror had transformed
I didn’t know her, but I liked her.
I understand how it happened
I just don’t understand why

I wish that you could have seen my smiles through words
technology planned and sent words
god was making up for something
or maybe he’s setting me up for a tragic end
Caesar was put on top, or was soon to be
he was living his life, ready for his future plan
but then the life of Brutis dug a dagger into his spine
Brutis wasn’t alone too, he had followers
I understand how it happened
I just don’t understand why

This made my senses on the highest setting
the little reality part of my brain checks in every time the right side gets out of hand
it reassures me, don’t let up, this isn’t a dream, this may not stick
but for now I shall enjoy the pleasures of who is seen in the mirror across from me
I don’t know her, I do like her, and I hope she never fails to stay
I understand how it happened
I just don’t understand why
