I would like to buy a one way ticket to somewhere
Anywhere
Anywhere but here
I’m sick of this place
This black hole
This cavernous abyss
I’m glued to this ground
The cement is setting
So I need to leave
I need something new
A fresh start
I need tomorrow today
This place is making me sick
A chronic cough
I’m a bird without wings
Flopping on the ground
But the train derailed
And it may never get back on track
I would like a ticket to nowhere please
Because that’s the place I’m headed
