Forever Gone
I was sitting in a field, grass expanding in every direction, a few trees sway lightly in the breeze. A dandelion flies into the sky. He runs towards me at first and then slows dramatically, though my back is to him I know he is there. His warm breath touches my back and he nuzzles me. I turn around, but he is gone. I stand and run after something that I know is already gone forever. But like a lost dream I can’t stop looking for him. And I know I will never forger. I wake and the terrors from yesterday return.
