Those words you spoke made my heart skip a beat
I could not believe this was actually happening to me
You asked me to be your date to prom
It's just a simple thing, yet it means so much to me
I had always dreamed of going to prom
And my dream was coming true
The day of prom I put on my dress, did my hair and did my make up
I tried my best to look good just for you
And as always when you showed up at the door you looked amazing
The rest of that night was perfect, you told me I was the most beautiful girl there and I told you were the most handsom
And it was true
We danced all night long
Something we had never done before together yet it felt so natural, like we had been dancing together our whole lives
The end of the night couldnt have came any faster
I was sad that it was done, yet happy that it had happened
For once I was living in the moment instead of fearing for what would happen next
