Sitting All By Herself

Left alone at lunch,
Sitting all by herself,
Hoping it's because she is new,
It is all so strange,
A new town, a new school,
But no new friends or acquaintances,
She's laughed at and made fun of,
Feels like she doesn't belong,
When really all she wants is a friend,
Someone to talk to,
To laugh and to cry with,
Someone who feels her pain,
But a few weeks later the story's the same,
She's losing hope of feel less strange,
Until one day,
She spots a new girl left alone at lunch,
Sitting all by herself.
