A Child's Game
My heart didn't break
but it hurt
I couldn't touch your hand
for the gesture of friendship
I had to force my hand to move
to touch fists with you
You noticed my hesitation
But I didn't give you time to process it I didn't want to
It would have hurt too bad
for you to know that it cut me
I try to come across as strong
I try not to let anyone breakdown that dull grey wall in front of my heart but you are slowly breaking it down while I try to build it back up but it doesn't work
Not against your child's game
