A swirl of memories
A taste of deceit
Shows complete submission to our inevitable defeat

But how beautifully you flow into what seems like everlasting streams
So quietly you go along in such a steady creep

Oh how nothing is ever what it seems

Like the rest of the world I'll willingly slip into your vanilla streams

Your smell lures me closer, and your rivers like a dream
I'd readily become a fool believing I'm the one who makes your shore's gleam

Oh how nothing is ever what it seems

I glance at a boulder that's crumbling before my eyes
Before I can run and save my soul, the streams heart opens swallowing my cries
Even though I'm spinning in a whirlpool of lies and drowning beneath its filthy, dirty seas
All I can see is beauty

Oh how nothing is ever what it seems
