TV Girl
I awake to noise,
Endless, useless noise.
White noise,
Noise, noise, noise.
Whispers, yells, laughs.
Cries in agony,
Cries for help,
Cries for vengeance.
These cries are artificial.
They say plenty,
But mean nothing.
Empty, blank words.
Yet they are incessant words.
Persistant words,
Words, words, words.
So many words
With no meaning at all!
And as the sun sets,
The words,
The noise
Begins to fade,
To wash away,
Until perfect silence
Creeps upon me.
Peace .
